The 32nd edition of the Memorial Silvio Guani. A day of sport – athletics, football, karate, volleyball, fencing – with competitions starting at 3.00pm and prize giving at 5.30pm. Organized by the Asd Volleyball Don Bosco. “An event organized to remember a great pioneer of city and national sport – underline the promoters -. As in previous editions, the priority objective is to involve many young people, including a member of the organizing company with athletes with disabilities, in various sports disciplines without any ranking of merit. This year’s Memorial is also dedicated to Lorenzo Guani, a recently deceased general to whom the company dedicated a memorial, and to Mauro Frascatore, an authentic protagonist in the history of photography and journalism in the city. Anna Del Vigo, president of the Ligurian regional volleyball committee for years, will also be awarded.” The event makes use of the collaboration of the ProSpezia associations Ciassa Brin, Tandem, Objective Spezia and Caterina and has the patronage of the Municipality of La Spezia and the Territorial Committee of Levante Ligure volleyball. The companies Fencing La Spezia, Funakoshi, Atletica Duferco, US Santerenzina, Volley Carasco, Scuola di Pallavolo La Spezia, Avis Volley Mesco, Nuova Pallavolo San Giovanni and Pallavolo Don Bosco participate. The GOSP – Young orchestra from La Spezia and the singer Jenny Fumanti will be present. The event is included in the national sports day. The Tandem association will not be without face painting and cotton candy. Participation in the event for athletes and clubs is free of charge.
