Serie A – Fiorentina-Monza 2-1 report cards: Arthur decides, Colpani off, Nico Gonzalez excellent

Fiorentina-Monza, a match valid for the thirty-sixth matchday of Serie A, ended with a score of 2-1, thanks to goals from Djuric, Nico Gonzalez and Arthur. Match refereed by Luca Zufferli. With this result Fiorentina moves to eighth place in the standings, overtaking Napoli. Below are the votes for the protagonists of the match.

Fiorentina report cards

Pietro TERRACCIANO 6 – Must not make saves. He watches Djuric’s header turn into the deficit, then he is almost a spectator.

Michael KAYODE 6 – Contains Zerbin’s initiatives well and after the interval he comes out often and willingly, even going for the cross from the back (from 80′ Marco Davide FARAONI sv)

Nikola MILENKOVIC 6 – Maybe a little too soft in allowing Mota to make the cross that leads to 0-1. Then he practically doesn’t do anything wrong anymore.

Lucas MARTINEZ FOURTH 5.5 – He has Djuric’s goal on his conscience, even if countering the giant of Serie A par excellence is a feat for everyone. He even devours a goal scored. Not an exciting evening.

Fabiano PARISI 6.5 – Sparkling, even if the simulation in the area in the first half doesn’t do him credit. Splendid shot for Mandragora, who wastes ahead of Di Gregorio (from 80′ Cristiano BIRAGHI sv)

ARTHUR 7 – In the evening. He brings order to the maneuver, plays short and less short, makes the right play at the right time. And, above all, he extracts the right shot from the hat that is worth overtaking and winning (from 80′ Alfred DUNCAN sv)

Rolando MANDRAGORA 6 – He raises the engine speed in the second half after a somewhat dull first half. Twice he comes close to scoring, without finding it.

Nicolas GONZALEZ 7 – Electric. He participates in almost all of Fiorentina’s offensive actions. He scores the 1-1, his header is a factor, also valuable in assisting.

Antonin BARAK 6.5 – Great left foot, he brushes one insidious cross after another into the area: Nico Gonzalez thanks and scores, Martinez Quarta wastes one step away from goal.

Gaetano CASTROVILLI 6 – He doesn’t do magic like in Verona, but he earns a passing grade. When he points, the man is dangerous. He comes close to scoring and almost scores Nzola, then drops (from 74′ Lucas BELTRAN sv)

M’Bala NZOLA 5 – It seems promising, but then it fades and ends up losing confidence. He loses almost all the duels with Pablo Marí and has no scoring opportunities (from the 61st minute Christian KOUAMÉ 6 – Valuable tactically)

All. Vincenzo ITALIAN 6.5 – Deserved victory for the way Fiorentina took possession of Monza’s half of the pitch for the entire second half. Not just the Conference: now they are also chasing Europe through the championship.

Monza report cards

Michele DI GREGORIO 6 – He can do little or nothing about Fiorentina’s two goals. In the middle of the Mandragora walls with a not at all simple intervention.

Samuele BIRINDELLI 6 – He doesn’t lose the duel with Castrovilli, but Izzo’s movement on Barak’s cross sends him into confusion. Nice throw for Mota in the lead action (from the 64th minute Pedro PEREIRA 6 – Try to come forward at the end)

Armando IZZO 5.5 – He doesn’t have a terrible match, but he has Nico Gonzalez’s failure to score during the 1-1 draw on his conscience: he misses and the Argentine takes advantage. Serious error.

Pablo MARÍ 6.5 – Promoted. He keeps the Monza defense up with more than one closure and wins the individual duel with Nzola. He leaves due to a muscle problem (from 73′ Danilo D’AMBROSIO sv)

Georgios KYRIAKOPOULOS 5 – He suffers a lot throughout the first half. Nico Gonzalez is unleashed, Barak crosses from there, Nzola sprints. He comes out at halftime (from 46′ Luca CALDIROLA 5.5 – He doesn’t close on Arthur, allowing the Brazilian to unload the right-footed three-pointer)

Warren BONDO 5.5 – A bad turnover in the first few minutes, then he raises his concentration level and recovers several balls. However, he gets blown up too easily by Arthur: heavy episode.

Matteo PESSINA 5.5 – He struggles to take over the reins of the midfield and risks the omelette with a bell towering twist on which Di Gregorio puts a patch.

Dany MOTA 6.5 – The cross that Djuric scores is perfect: a chocolate to unwrap. Then he has few opportunities to show off, but it’s not all his fault either (from the 64th minute Jean-Daniel AKPA AKPRO 6 – Brings more freshness to midfield)

Andrea COLPANI 5 – Some flashes, some good plays, but he doesn’t find a way to really make an impact, especially in the second half. He comes close to scoring a great goal before going out (from 82′ Valentin CARBONI sv)

Alessio ZERBIN 5.5 – He doesn’t show up much in the 4-2-3-1, then he plays the full-back midfield role, perhaps being sacrificed a little too much.

AC Milan DJURIC 7 – He takes them all with his head, absolutely all of them: see the action of the momentary advantage. The problem is that, from then on, he has few playable balls in the opponent’s half of the pitch.

Coach Raffaele PALLADINO 5.5 – Small disappointment. We would have expected something more from him in Monza. The changes and the move to a three-man defense do not produce the desired results.
