Car incentives situation 2024, there are still funds for hybrids

Ready to go, the campaign car incentives 2024 it immediately registered success across the board, at least as far as electric cars are concerned. With a maximum discount of 13,750 euros on the list price, subject to scrapping and an ISEE of less than 30,000 euros, the opportunity was too good to miss. In record time, the limit was exhausted, but the same cannot be said about the other supplies. Having arrived in the first weekend since their introduction, the announced treasure is over 300 million euros.

The remaining funds

Going into detail, the proposals with emissions between 61 and 135 g/km of carbon dioxide (CO2) have 190 million euros available, out of the initial 402. In the intermediate range, between 21 and 60 g/km of CO2, 107 million euros remain out of the 140 allocated. Finally, although reduced, a part is destined for used vehicles, so 7.3 million euros remain out of 20. Compared to the eco-bonuses for electric vehicles, which sold out in a few hours, the sums promised on low-consumption cars were less generous. After all, persuading the potential must not have seemed necessary, because for at least three years now they have dominated the commercial rankings.

In this regard, it is still possible to obtain a maximum relief of 3,000, under certain conditions: scrapping of an old vehicle; price equal to or less than 42,700 euros (including VAT); ISEE less than 30,000 euros. The figure varies in relation to the class of the demolished vehicle, where the maximum is guaranteed on Euro 0, Euro 1 and Euro 2. It drops to 2,000 euros in the case of Euro 3s and around 1,500 euros for Euro 4s. In addition to the government contribution, several manufacturing companies plan interesting initiatives aimed at further reducing the cost borne by the consumer.

The available models

The Fiat Panda is part of the large group of models, the queen of the best-selling cars also in May 2024 along our peninsula, and by a wide margin compared to the competition. The entry level 1.0 Firefly S&S Hybrid with 70 horsepower drops from 15,500 euros up to 12,500 euros. In a few weeks the new electric generation will be presented, which will be created at the Kragujevac plant in Serbia. But the attractiveness of the current proposal is undeniable, as it manages to combine essential values such as practicality, functionality and solidity. Paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission, the Jeep Avenger mild hybrid powered by the three-cylinder 1.2 Turbo e-Hybrid with 101 HP, it can be ordered for 23,200 euros, instead of 26,200 euros.

The presentations of the Renault Captur are superfluous, offered with both petrol and full hybrid engines: if the TCe 90 CV goes from 22,250 to 19,250 euros, the E-Tech 145CV Equilibre drops from 26,850 to 23,850 euros. The Dacia Duster belongs to the same group, which introduces the hybrid powertrain in the third generation, now also available in the mild and full hybrid versions. Borrowed from the parent company, it combines the 94 horsepower naturally aspirated 1.6 with two electric modules, one with 49 HP and another with 20 HP used as a generator. For Mioveni’s SUV the minimum access threshold is 23,400 euros, against the usual 26,400 euros.

The amount to be estimated for the leading option in the full hybrid sector, the Toyota Yaris Cross, decreases from 28,650 to 25,650 euros. Just unveiled, the latest evolution of the iconic Suzuki Vitara SUV now requires an outlay of 22,900 euros, instead of the usual 25,900 euros, for the 129 HP 1.4 light hybrid.
