Ferrari looks to the future

After the arrival of Lewis Hamilton, made official last February, the Ferrari she is always very active on the marketgiven that it is unanimously given in clear advantage in the race to Adrian Newey. The brilliant designer left Red Bull after almost two decades and at the weekend in Miami the big smiles of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc did not go unnoticed when asked about the possible arrival of the English engineer. And i long minutes spent on the starting grid by Newey observing the Ferrari SF-24 were caught by the cameras, as was the significant greeting with Piero Ferrari, son of the founder Enzo.

Vigna keeps a low profile

Commenting on the company’s first quarter results, CEO Benedetto Vigna he dedicated a few words relating to Formula 1, starting precisely from the questions on the possible arrival of Newey. The Lucanian manager remained vague – in fact without decisively confirming or denying -: “He is one of our clients, he takes part in the Cavalcades. Many things are written in the newspapers…”.

As told last week, the arrival of HP made official over the weekend in Miami was not the result of a flash negotiation, but of discussions that have been going on for some time. The US multinational IT company was in fact no stranger to the hiring of a heavyweight like Lewis Hamilton and is playing an important role in the Newey negotiation – from the economic side.
Vigna confirmed the depth of the discussions had with the American company: “The partnership with HP will start in 2025. We have been working on it since October 2023 and the agreement has been finalized now. We were pleased because they wanted to enter F1 and they chose us.”
