The first attempt was unsuccessful. Italy failed to qualify the women’s 4x100m for the Olympics of Paris 2024 on the occasion of heats of the World Relays, the World Relay Championships being held in Nassau (Bahamas). Only the top two classified qualified for the Games the Italians unfortunately stopped in fourth placecoming like this postponed to the repechage which will offer the last six tickets up for grabs tomorrow for the five-circle review. It must be said that the last two places will be assigned via ranking and the fourth place obtained last year at the World Championships with the national record offers a certain guarantee.
The Italian quartet crossed the finish line with the time of 43.08 in the series won by Poland by Ewa Swoboda (42.81) ahead of Audrey Leduc’s Canada (42.98), both deserving of qualification for the Olympics ahead of China (43.03). Zaynab Dossothe Italian record holder in the 100 meters and fresh from the world championship bronze in the 60 metres, opened the relay with a decent start (11.64), the second half of Dalia Kaddari she was remarkable (10.35) and bowled a good one Anna Bongiorni (10.56).

In the third, Rebekka Haase’s Germany (42.72) and Torrie Lewis’s Australia (42.83) celebrated, momentarily ousting Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith’s Ivory Coast (10.12).
