Italian Volleyball – Julio Velasco has called up 17 (!) for the friendly matches with Sweden, Kate Antropova and Linda Nwakalor are there

Maybe it’s a superstition on the contrary, but for the first official match of his second adventure on the bench of the Italian women’s national team, Julio Velasco has called up 17 athletes. In view of the two friendly matches against Sweden (8 May in Novara and 9 May in Piacenza), the coach from La Plata has added two players from Savino del Bene Scandicci to the group that has been working in recent weeks at the Centro Federale Pavesi in Milan, two excellent protagonists of the final series of the play offs: Ekaterina Antropova and Linda Nwakalor.
The Italians will meet on Monday 6 May (Martina Bracchi will also be there for the first day of training) and will conclude the training session after the second match against Sweden, scheduled for 7pm in the PalaBanca Sport of the Emilian city.
