After taking it home two podiums in five races and championship points with both drivers in all the rounds held so far this season, the McLaren is ready to face the first trip to the USA in 2024. The Miami weekend will be particularly important for the Woking team, both because of the Sprint race on Saturday and for the eagerly awaited updates which should be introduced on the MCL38
The words of the pilots
Regarding the upgrades, however, the drivers were tight-lipped, as they did not touch on the topic when presenting the trip to Florida, the first of three stages in the United States that will be tackled during the season. “I can’t wait to get back to Miami. It’s the first race of the year in the United States and the fans always create an electrifying atmosphere – commented Lando Norris – in China we had a positive race, achieving the second podium of the season. I had time to celebrate with the team at MTC and analyze the data in view of Miami with my engineers. I’m sure it will be a busy weekend, but nothing we can’t overcome. Everyone did a great job to put us in a good position to get even better“.
