Nerazzurri cow to celebrate the Scudetto: storm among Inter fans

As often happens during the celebrations for a sporting result, especially in the world of football given that it is the one with the largest following and capable of gathering thousands of people in the streets, there are excesses on the part of the fans. What happened yesterday on the streets of Milan, however, goes beyond the boundaries of decency, given that someone, to celebrate Inter’s championship, thought it best to dye a blue cow piebald to dress it up with the colors of the Italian champion team.

The Nerazzurri party in the streets of the Milanese capital had already sparked a lot of controversy in the last few hours due to the banner displayed by Denzel Dumfries on the open bus on which the team was. In the poster, delivered by some fans, the Dutchman is depicted holding a dog on a leash with the features of Theo Hernandez, Milan’s left winger with whom there is certainly no good blood. An episode that immediately attracted the attention of the FIGC, which decided to open an investigation.

What happened in the evening to the detriment of the cow, however, attracted the attention not only of the competent bodies but also that of animal rights activists and ordinary citizens, literally outraged by the shameful video that made the rounds on social media. The animal, dyed blue from head to tail, was paraded through the streets of Milan until reaching Viale della Liberazione, in front of the company headquarters.

“This is mistreatment and humiliation of animals that are paraded dressed in dye. It should be illegal.”commented a user on the web.“I don’t usually offend, but these deserve denunciation. The human race disgusts me. We deserve extinction”sank another. “No. And I say this as a great Inter fan. Not at all!”we read again under the post.

“A cow smeared with paint in the colors of Inter was exhibited yesterday at the celebration for the Inter championship and today the International Animal Protection Organization formally asks the police if the handler has been identified and if any penalties have been imposed sanctions for this disfigurement”writes theOipa in an official statement.“The animal, thus reduced, was also led in a procession full of people, screams, smoke, noises, fireworks”.

This is a sad episode which could constitute a crime for incompatible detention or in any case a form of mistreatment”the note continues,“and, also from an administrative point of view, it is a sanctionable case. Like the donkey ‘dressed’ in the Napoli colors paraded last year on the occasion of the Neapolitan team’s championship, this is an abuse towards the poor animals reduced to banners, mortified and humiliated“.

The Organization therefore says it is ready to make a formal complaint complaint to the public prosecutor’s office of Milan, “and asks the Animal Rights Guarantors of the Municipality of Milan to proceed with the appropriate checks”.
