C SERIES
The first obstacle, along the road to the women’s Serie C playoffs, is called Team Volley 2007 Galliera Veneta. After yesterday’s victorious conclusion to the regular season in Abano, Homeclick SB Volley met this morning with its next team from Padua which will be faced in a best-of-three series. Game 1 will be away on Saturday 4th May, while Game 2 will be staged at the De Mas sports hall in Belluno on Saturday 11th. The possible “match”, however, is scheduled for Saturday 18th and SB Volleyball could rely on the field factor because the decisive match for qualification would be played right in the stadium in via Gabelli.
In case of progress to the round, a final phase is foreseen in which the two losers of the playoff phase reserved for the first classified in the championship groups and the two winners of the phase reserved for the second classified (like the Belluno team) converge. The four teams will compete in one-way matches (25 May, 1 and 8 June) and whoever excels in this quadrangular will be promoted to Serie B2.
As regards yesterday’s match, SB Volley did not allow itself any distractions and, in Abano Terme, concluded a memorable regular season in the best possible way, as evidenced by the 15 victories in 18 matches and the consequent second place, behind of the league leaders Asolo. In the Odv Thermal den, Homeclick showed off a solid and concrete performance which ended 3-0 in their favour.

D SERIES
Homeclick gave themselves a final of the Serie D championship with a bang, managing to overcome the third force in the group: Arzerello 3-0 in front of the friendly crowd in Mur di Cadola. The 27 points in tandem of the high ball attackers, Ottone and Costa, stand out: Zambon is also solid in the squad, while D’Isep’s direction lights up the evening, libero Caterina Casanova doesn’t let anything fall, captain Buzzatti closes in double digits and, in the centre, Sitta also shines. In short, an impeccable Homeclick: «Great game – is the analysis of manager Claudio Casanova -. The girls played carefree, leaving their arm free. The only regret is that if they had expressed themselves on these standards with greater continuity, they would have obtained greater satisfaction.”
SB Volley, in fact, was unable to reach the safety quota, but strongly wanted an epilogue of this type, the result of a controlled match from the first to the last rally. With two thrills: in the second set, closed to the advantages at the end of an electrifying head-to-head. And in the third, with the comeback attempt of the Paduans, who went from -8 to -3. But the final party is all for Buzzatti and his companions.
