The time strikes first Grand Tour of the season for UAE Team ADQ vwho from today until Sunday 5 May will be involved in La Vuelta Femenina.

We will start with the team time trial in Valencia. The race menu offers three relatively flat stages that will end in Moncofa (2nd stage), Teruel (3rd) and Zaragoza (4th), offering opportunities for the sprinters to win. The stage that ends in Sigüenza (7th stage) is not too difficult, even if it has an uphill finish. The other three stages, however, will be a bargain for the climbers. Three uphill finishes, all already tackled in the men’s Vuelta, are destined to define the general classification. First is the steep climb to Fuerte Rapitán (5th stage), on the outskirts of Jaca, followed by the ascent to Laguna Negra de Vinuesa (6th). The last decisive stage will take place next Sunday, May 5, between the Distrito Telefónica of Madrid and the Valdesquí winter sports complex. The final climb of 12.8 km will be preceded by the 9.2 km ascent to the Puerto de La Morcuera for a total of 1,870 meters of altitude difference in just 89.5 kilometers of the stage.

The Emirati team will line up at the start Alena Amialiusik, Eugenia Bujak, Mikayla Harvey, Alena Ivanchenko, Erica Magnaldi, Tereza Neumanova, Karlijn Swinkels. The sports directors Alejandro Gonzalez-Tablas, Cristina San Emeterio, Aida Nuno will guide the girls.
