San Giovanni’s most important purchase for the next season (the ninth in a row) in the A2 women’s volleyball championship comes from the confirmation of Serena Ortolani, the expert champion who will remain among the top players of Omag Mt, also for the next championship. “The desire to win is stronger than the desire to quit… Yes! It’s official, I’m getting back into the game for a new year – he confirms – the club motivated me to make this choice, and I thank them once again for their trust, but also for the unique environment, which is only found here in San Giovanni, ambitious but at the same time confident, surrounded by humble people always ready to give their best for us. And what’s more, there are them, the “Grandchildren”, i our fans always ready to support us with passion. I want to return to pursue new goals, to meet new people, to learn again and above all to have fun, to entertain and why not, after 31 years of volleyball, also to amaze myself.”
Serena Ortolani has won practically everything but also in the last season she was the real driving force behind her younger teammates in truly exciting victories for San Giovanni such as the 3-0 against Perugia and Messina at home.
Therefore it will still be the opposite of Omag-Mt San Giovanni and many of the Marignano A1 ambitions will pass through its points: “I can’t wait to start again – he says – and think that we have just finished. The team that the club is setting up It seems very competitive to me: Piovesan, Nicolini, Polesello… All players that we have met in this championship and who seemed very strong to me and I believe in it and we can try, we will try to climb to A1 again, but now we also need a bit of rest. physical and mental”.

Precisely the promotion to A1 of Talmassons, an outsider like San Giovanni at the start of the championship, gives rise to some regrets: “Unfortunately the points lost at the beginning of the season due to the many injuries in the end took their toll and in the Promotion Pool we were no longer able to recover” closes the ‘striker from Marignano.
