With salvation practically achieved, the Openjobmetis Varese start thinking about next season. We will start again from Nico Mannion – unless calls from the EuroLeague or NBA – but the other priority objective is called Sean McDermott. According to what was gathered by La Prealpina, the American is the only player with whom Varese began talking about the future. McDermott signed a 1+1 deal last summer, but can opt out of the deal. Consequently to detain the captain, Varese will have to put a salary adjustment on the table. And this would seem to be the intention, since McDermott appears to be a priority for Openjobmetis. On the other hand, it is undeniable that the 27-year-old in his first year in Europe was one of the most consistent: 13.3 points per game in LBA with 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists in 29.5 minutes with 40.6% from three points.
