We are only at the fourth round of the 2024 MotoGP, but the weekend of the Spanish Grand Prix will already have a very important specific value. The race in Andalusia, in fact, could already open up interesting scenarios and others that, until very recently, might have seemed very distant. But, as always, let’s go in order.

Today’s day on the Jerez de la Frontera track for the premier class will start at 10.45 am with the first free practice session 45 minutes which will give teams and riders the chance to test the Andalusian track. So, at 3.00 pm, we will experience the sixty minutes of pre-qualifying which will make up the top 10 which will avoid Q1 in tomorrow’s qualifying.

We arrive at the Iberian stage with Jorge Martin leading the general classification. In the event of another weekend as a protagonist, the Ducati Pramac team bearer could really make the first breakaway of the season, already boasting a 21-point lead over Enea Bastianini, itself looking for confirmation. The points of interest are endless. From Maverick Viñales who will try to repeat the perfect weekend in Austin, passing through a Pedro Acosta ready to amaze again and Marc Marquez who will look for the paw in the house.

But, objectively, the big question will be: “Pecco Bagnaia will return to his levels”? The two-time world champion, after the less than stellar weekends in Portimao and Austin, is looking for revenge, on a track where he has often been able to make the difference. For the representative of the Ducati Factory team there is a need to reverse a negative trend. A shake-up is needed, starting from today’s first session, so as not to complicate the situation further.
