There Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 sets another milestone for next season. It’s about Anna Gray, second confirmation in the central department after that of Katerina Zakchaiou. Even the central defender from Pavia, 28 years old in November, will therefore play at least one more championship in the blue and white.

Anna, let’s start from your first season in Chieri: how it went and what convinced you to continue the journey together.

«This season in Chieri has given me a lot of satisfaction, both as a team and personally. The goal I set for myself before arriving in Chieri was to raise the bar to an increasingly higher level. I must say that the impact was more than positive, I managed to quickly adapt to the rhythms and type of work and this thanks to the environment I found when I arrived here. A serious and professional environment with people who make you feel at home and for me this is very important in a company. Where you feel good, you also work well. This is the main reason that pushed me to stay, I am really happy to continue my journey in Chieri, I believe that there will still be many satisfactions and increasingly higher goals».

Speaking of goals, do you feel like indicating one for 2024/2025?

«It will certainly be difficult to match the results achieved this year. But with each passing season the objective is to add pieces and overcome increasingly higher steps, I believe that Chieri’s mentality is projected in this direction, always doing well and always better. The team will change a lot next year so I believe that the results can be seen as you go, without putting too much pressure on yourself at the beginning».

Your summer? «I’m enjoying some rest but in a few weeks we’ll start getting back to the gym for summer training. Honestly, I can’t wait to start again, I can’t sit still for too long. However, I am organizing a few weeks of vacation between July and August with both my family and friends. I will go to Tuscany for a few days with my mother and sister and finally a week in Croatia with friends. I allow myself a bit of recharging before the start of the season».
