Under the watchful eyes of technicians, families and enthusiasts, they competed: Cremona, Antibes, Menton, Sigean-Port la Nouvelle, Lainate, Hyères Carqueiranne La Crau, Gussago, Brescia, Ospitaletto, Mandelieau / Lerins, Collegno and Provinces of the West . In the City of Flowers they found each other over 800 kids with a return in hotel presences extended to the entire province.
In the end the victory between the Under 8 went to Hyères, while Sigean-Port la Nouvelle won in the Under 10. Italian success in Under 12 with the victory of Ospitaletto.

With a double weekend dedicated to the oval ball, Sanremo confirmed itself as Italy’s gateway to rugby on the border with France and once again played a leading role in the promotion of sport/tourism combination.

THE numbers of the Rugby Festival outline the contours of an event in constant growth. Over the two weekends, the fields set up on the Pian di Poma grounds showed 1,200 minutes of rugby played and listened 1,560 minutes of music. I am 45 wooden prizes of beech delivered during an edition dedicated to sustainability. The white-blue company, in fact, has chosen to take an important step forward in respecting Nature with a new ecological island, 600 water bottles signed “UnoEnergy” delivered in the third half, a thousand glasses recyclable for pouring beers and 1,500 bottles in recyclable glass in addition to a thousand dishes made of recyclable paper used in club houses.

The ‘double’ 2024 edition has consecrated the Rugby Festival as a sporting and tourist event of national and international appeal for Western Liguria. Children, coaches, club staff and families met in Pian di Poma, a stone’s throw from the sea, for two weekends dedicated to the oval ball, but also to all the values ​​that rugby can transmit: healthy competitive spirit, respect of the opponent, team spirit and a great desire to be together even outside of the scheduled matches.
Now the appointment is set for 2025 when the Sanremo Rugby-branded event will blow out ten candles.
