On Monday 6 May the Giro d’Italia, the international stage cycling race, will pass through Casale Monferrato as part of the Novara-Fossano.
The time of passage is assumed to be between 2pm and 2.30pm and the suspension of traffic is expected between 11.30am and 3pm. This suspension will also concern local public transport (urban and extra-urban).
The planned route is as follows: Sp 31 – via Adam – Po bridge – Lungo Po Gramsci – via Montalcini – via Novarese – Lanza canal bridge – via Buozzi – Corso Valentino – Sp 31 hamlet of S. Germano.
On the same day the “Carovana del Giro” will stop in Piazza Difesa Mantova (entirely prohibited from stopping from the same morning), approximately from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm preceding the race with entertainment, music, shows and distribution of gadgets , waiting for the passage of the runners involved in the cycling competition.
Among the municipalities in the area affected by the transition are Stroppiana, Villanova, Occimiano, Mirabello and Lu.
