Raul Fernandez promoted to Aprilia 2024. The young Spaniard will test the 2024 upgrade at the Jerez weekend.
Raul Fernandez, the only rider to remain on the 2023 Aprilia, will finally get on the 2024. During the Jerez Grand Prix tests, the Spaniard will finally test the bike that brought Maverick Viñales to victory. Expectations are high, who knows if it will do better than the American event.
Upgrade to the Aprilia team completed
Raul Fernandez will finally make the upgrade already made by teammate Miguel Oliveira; he will ride the 2024 Aprilia for the Spanish weekend. Let’s remember that the new RS-GP 24 has a totally different aerodynamic package compared to the 2023 model while it seems that the engine has only had small updates. The team principal of the Aprilia Trackhouse satellite team Davide Brivio commented on the new bike that Raul will try:
“We will test on Monday and if everything goes smoothly over the weekend, Raul will have the first opportunity to briefly test the 2024 bike.” – Davide Brivio
At COTA Raul achieved a ninth and a tenth place thus recording his first points, a sign that the Spaniard is finally getting into gear. We hope that with this update he can be as competitive as Maverick Viñales and Aleix Espargarò.
