Good morning friends of OA Sport and welcome to the LIVE LIVE of the Sprint Race and the qualifying of the Chinese Grand Prix, fifth round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship. A truly intense Saturday awaits us on the Shanghai track as we will first experience the short distance race, then the hunt for pole position in view of tomorrow’s race.
The day will start at 05.00 Italian time (11.00 local time), while at 09.00 it will be the turn of the qualifications which will make up the starting line-up for the Grand Prix which will take place on Sunday at 09.00 Italian time. A race over a distance of 100 kilometers awaits us in which anything can happen, especially if the rain returns, which has revolutionized every scenario in the Sprint Qualifying.
The front row of the Sprint Race will be all English, as Lewis Hamilton will be alongside Lando Norris, skilled at taming the slimy track. Second row with Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen, third with Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez, fourth with Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri, while in fifth we will find Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou ahead of George Russell.
The Sprint Race of the Chinese Grand Prix will start at 05.00. Qualifying for tomorrow’s race, however, will start at 09.00. OA Sport offers you the written LIVE LIVE of the day, so you don’t miss even a second of the Formula One spectacle in Shanghai. Good fun!
