With the Chinese GP 2024 Of Formula 1 come back there Sprint Racethe short race held on Saturday and assigns points valid for the drivers’ and constructors’ championships. Today they were held qualifications valid for the Sprint Race, which were conditioned by rain dropped into Q3, which mixed up the cards. Lando came out on top in this final phase Norris on McLaren, which took the pole position valid for tomorrow’s sprint race. Second place for Hamilton (Mercedes), third place Alonso (Aston Martin). Fifth and seventh place for the Ferraris of Sainz and Leclerc.
In the Q1 Perez (Red Bull) and Norris (McLaren) were the fastest ahead of Verstappen, Leclerc, Piastri, Sainz and Alonso. These are the eliminated Gasly (Alpine), Ocon (Alpine), Albon (Williams), Tsunoda (Racing Bull), Sargeant (Williams). In the Q2 Verstappen set the best time, ahead of Leclerc, Perez, Piastri, Norris, Sainz, Bottas, Alonso, Hamilton and Zhou. These are the eliminated drivers: Russell (Mercedes), Magnussen (Haas), Hulkenberg (Haas), Ricciardo (RB), Stroll (Aston Martin).
With the Sprint Race a different one is adopted tire allocation from dry, reduced from 13 to 12 trains, distributed as follows: two Hard, four Medium and six Soft. The allocation of wet tires does not change: five intermediate and two Extreme Wet.
