Agrigento, Caltanissetta and Enna. These are the three territories that starting from next April 6th will compete for access to the semi-finals for promotion to Serie D of volleyball. The teams: Limpiados Volley, CS Athena, Aragona, and Vigata will represent the territory of Agrigento, Polisportiva Armerina and Pallavolo Regalbuto that of Enna and Santa Barbara Sommatino and volleyball Gela the territory of Caltanissetta. The eight teams will undoubtedly give life to a women’s first division tournament which promises to be quite exciting due to the quality of the respective teams that are part of the Fipav Akranis Territorial Federal Committee. It should be remembered that these sports clubs have passed the first phase of the championship, ranking among the top four in their respective groups. The peculiarity of this championship lies precisely in the fact that participating are teams that belong to different territories and if we consider the participation in the youth championships of Gangi and Castellana Sicula, the territories become four, most of which are located in the territories of the center of the Sicily. But let’s go back to the first division. The favourites? It is obligatory to mention the Volleyball teams Gela, Sommatino, Aragona, Vigata and Athena but we must keep an eye on Regalbuto, Piazza Armerina and Limpiados who have demonstrated that they can compete on an equal footing with the best equipped teams. Two home and away matches will be played with a possible golden set. Whoever wins will advance to the semi-finals where only two will be able to access the final, knowing however that the two finalists will have already earned promotion to Serie D.
