In compliance with the presumption of innocence and without prejudice to the fact that any judgments of responsibility can only result from irrevocable pronouncements, it is hereby announced that this morning the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of Nocera Inferiore executed a detention order issued against a person believed to be seriously suspected in relation to the explosion of gunshots which occurred on 25 April in Nocera Inferiore following an alleged condominium dispute. In particular, the Nocera Inferiore Station and the Operational Section of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the local Carabinieri Territorial Department, after having carried out a meticulous and timely collection of the site of the event, with the discovery of numerous arches and the observation of several holes on the shutter of a garage of a condominium in via Gramsci, conducted, under the direction of the PM on duty of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Nocera Inferiore, an intense investigative activity to find the author of the dangerous gesture. During the investigations and, precisely, already last Friday, the subject who had fired 6 shots against the shutter of the condominium’s garage with a revolver was identified. Following the activities carried out by the Judicial Police, as well as the prolonged unavailability of the suspect having emerged, the Prosecutor issued a decree arresting the suspect of the crime due to the believed existence of serious indications of guilt and the risk of escape for IL An effective search for the suspect was thus launched which allowed the PM’s provision to be executed in the early hours of today. In particular, the soldiers of the Operational Section managed to identify the subject at his girlfriend’s home in Castel San Giorgio (SA). The arrested man, taken to the Salerno prison, is seriously suspected, among other things, of the crime of attempted aggravated murder, for having hit the victim on the head with a large club before emptying the entire magazine of a revolver pistol. At the state of the investigations, the episode of 25 April has no connection with the other similar events which occurred in the Agro and which the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of Nocera Inferiore are investigating.
