A free PS4 and PS5 game has been removed from players’ libraries, but that’s not the strange thing

From time to time, to the delight of gamers, digital stores mistakenly post big discounts or give away some video games for free. The same happened a couple of months ago on PlayStation Store, when Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun has suddenly become free for PS4 and PS5 users.

In a couple of hours the problem was solved, but in any case the work of Mimimi Productions and Daedalic Entertainment – a tactical game in which you act in stealth set in Japan – was obtained free of charge by many userswho thus saved around forty euros.

It was expected that access to the game would be removed by Sony shortly after, but this was not the case. Until today.

What’s happening with Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

According to reports, Sony is eliminating access to Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun for everyone who has it obtained for free via the glitch. The real surprise is that it took the company this long.

Considering that it is a game that takes 25-30 hours on average for a single completionit is not impossible that those who obtained it two months ago and decided to play it immediately were able to experience the entire tactical adventure before the removal.

Epic Games Store reveals the free game on December 28th, it’s a retro-style dark fantasy RPG

In other words, this removal by Sony may not be a big deal, except for latecomers or those who wanted to replay it later. Sony has not commented on the situationso it’s hard to say what really happened.

If Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun interests you, know that you can find the basic version for €3.99 and the Deluxe version for €8.09 on the PS Store, with January discounts.
