All over the world he was known as “the shadow man”. A pedophile specializing in the production of videos with child abuse, especially on children too under the age of 10which also marketed the videos after luring the very young victims on the Net.
The man, an Italian, was arrested by Postal at the end of long-lasting investigations in particular on the Dark Web pedophile virtual community called The Love Zone, currently closed.
The investigations were triggered thanks to the activity of the staff of the National Center for Combating Child Pornography Online (CNCPO) who acted undercover together with Europol and the British police (Online CSA Covert Intelligence Team – OCCT).
«Shadow», as he was nicknamed, is accused of aggravated sexual assault, committed against minors under the age of 10criminal association aimed at the dissemination of pedophile practices, the sharing of information useful for the solicitation of minors and the exchange, possession and dissemination of child pornography material, as well as useful advice for carrying out such illegal activities and dissemination of material depicting abuse sexual on minors, also unpublished and self-produced.
According to the Post Office, which also collected information in Great Britain, «Shadow» for years «has actively participated in the TLZ virtual pedophile community of the TOR network, i.e. a transnational organization to which numerous members belonged, aimed at divulging and exchanging a considerable amount of child pornography while remaining anonymous and evading the controls of the police forces. The community was well structured, it provided for a precise hierarchy and well-defined roles for each member, with a special section dedicated to producers of multimedia content created through the exploitation of minors under the age of 18″. His task was to implement this archive with thousands of video files and images with which he had documented the abuses committed, “going ever further in the violence perpetrated, which would certainly have continued without the intervention of the police”adds the investigator.
