the lots withdrawn from supermarkets

Particular attention must be paid when spending the next few days for the remaining post-Christmas and end-of-year meals. Some products have been recalled by supermarkets because they are at risk of listeria. They are lines of cooked ham, turkey breast and pork loin. The report comes from the Ministry of Health due to the risk of microbiological contamination due to the presence of the Listeria monocytogenes bacterium and, in one case, also an excess of histamine compared to the maximum permitted values.

Turkey ham and breast at risk of listeria: which products are recalled

The alert concerns two “Lenti” brand products, both made by the Rugger Srl company. The first is “Lenti & Lode – High quality cooked ham”, for which lots 2541327 and 2541328 have been recalled.

The second is the Gran roast turkey rump, recalled for the same microbiological reason in batch 2541330.

On 23 December, however, the precautionary recall was ordered of a batch of baked pork loin under the Fior Fiore Coop brand, sold in 120 gram trays. The product concerned is identified by batch 2541329, with a minimum shelf life set for 3 January 2026. Also in this case, production is attributed to Rugger Srl, in the Santena plant, in the province of Turin, for Coop Italia.

Anchovy sauce poses a histamine risk

The Ministry of Health had also reported the withdrawal from the market of Aragon anchovy sauce. The reason was excess histamine, a substance that can cause food poisoning if consumed in large quantities.

The Ministry invites you not to consume the products belonging to the indicated lots and to return them to the point of sale where they were purchased.
