possible “trial clause” with Genoa’s approval

Inter are studying a loan with an obligation to buy, the player has already said yes. A special clause is possible in the contract

The Martinez affair has been practically defined in all its parts, the dialogues continue between Inter e Genoa although this time the focus shifts to the attack and precisely on Albert Gudmundsson. Nothing new, certainly, but the unblocking of the first negotiation can also bring benefits to the second one, which in any case is not at such an advanced stage: the rossoblù club is asking 30-35 million euros while the Nerazzurri, counting on the yes from the playeraim at a loan with obligation to redeem once the winter transfer window has closed, as happened for example with Frattesi (who arrived on loan from Sassuolo) who became an entirely Inter player last 2 February.

Gudmundsson’s will is important for this very reason, a sort of assist to Inter who for economic and planning reasons prefers to structure the deal in this way also because there would not be the possibility of competing with possible auctions, perhaps from Premier League. First, in any case, the attackers pool should be thinned out, above all the focus is on the exit of Correa but offers are also being heard for Arnautovic.

In all this a possible solution emerges clause that Gudmundsson’s buyers could ask to be included in the transfer contract: a sort of protection in the event that the attacker is found guilty in the appeal trial that awaits him in the autumn in Iceland following accusations of sexual violence in his country (and for which he has already been acquitted in first instance). According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Genoa would have opened up to the possibility of accept this particular clause.
