First the street harassment, then the stalking and the attack in the condominium. A 37-year-old woman suffered sexual violence in Rome, in her condominium in the San Pietro area where she lives with her mother. The victim, of Belarusian origin, called 112 and then went to the police station to report it. Investigators had already managed to identify the suspect, who was recognized and placed in custody. According to what was reconstructed by the officers, the man, a 32-year-old with Georgian citizenship, verbally harassed the woman in the street, who rejected him and continued her journey. Once she arrived at her destination, she entered the building where she lives and went up to the condominium washrooms to do some chores. There she found herself faced with her attacker, who forced her to suffer sexual violence and then fled. As soon as she was able, the victim called the police, who acquired the footage from the surveillance cameras and identified the suspect. When he then reached the police station to file a complaint, the woman recognized him. The man was then transferred to the Regina Coeli prison, accused of aggravated sexual assault.
