PADUA – Returning to the Padua Traffic Police Headquarters on Wednesday afternoon and before the deputy prosecutor Giorgio Falcone reached him, Andrea Favero admitted to the Highway and Mobile officers that he had killed his girlfriend Giada Zanola, mother of their child 3 years old, found dead in the night between Tuesday and Wednesday on the asphalt of the A4 after a 15 meter flight and after being twisted and dragged by a lorry which hit her. A less lucid confession in which the dynamics of what happened at 3.30 on Wednesday on the A4 flyover in Vigonza is not reconstructed, but which was enough for the investigators to make Favero face his responsibilities, call the prosecutor (in front of whom the truck driver will no longer repeat the admission, limiting himself to saying that he cannot “mentalise” those moments) and begin the interrogation which at 2.05am on Thursday brought Favero, a 38-year-old truck driver, to prison on charges of murder volunteer by Giada Zanola. A murder, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, “impulsive” and “aggravated by the sentimental relationship” which has now come to an end: for a few months the woman had started a relationship with another man and for this reason she had decided to end her cohabitation with the 38-year-old, to keep her son with her and to also change jobs to spend more time with her new boyfriend.
