Bardi: “Support of Renzi and Calenda? It can be a model for Rome”

“Everyone called me – said Bardi a The messenger, who interviewed him immediately after the victory -. To be honest, I haven’t been able to answer some of them yet. But I thanked everyone, starting with the leaders of the United Centre-Right, for the support they gave me by personally spending themselves in the electoral campaign for another five years of good government. Giorgia Meloni was also congratulated.” And as regards the support of Matteo Renzi (Italia Viva) and Carlo Calenda (Action), according to Bardi it can also be a model in Rome: “I think so, at least on the points on which can find convergences. If we share some objectives to be achieved, and we agree on the programs to achieve this, as happened here in Basilicata, what matters is not so much the model, but the good that everyone wants for their territory and their country “.

Bardi’s priorities: infrastructure, healthcare and energy

Bardi then indicated the priorities of the second mandate: “The first point is that of infrastructure. I have already started a discussion with the government to bring high-speed rail to Basilicata”. Then there are “healthcare and energy. Our goal for the next five years is to make Basilicata the energy hub of Italy”. The re-elected governor finally focused on Forza Italia’s result in the regional elections, defined as “important” and which “will have a positive effect on the European elections. Overtaking 10% in the polls in Brussels? We are working on it, we can get there. And we’ll get there, I’m convinced.” Five years ago Silvio Berlusconi was there to celebrate: “If he were here today, he would be very happy. He believed in me, he was my friend, and I have always admired him greatly. He would have been happy to share this moment. A moment which I also want to dedicate to him.”
