Tony Effe created a lot of controversy for some remarks made during his recent appearance in the new episode of the podcast “Pass From BSMT” where he talked about his beginnings in the world of music and rap, starting from the group that made him famous throughout Italy, the Dark Polo Gang. The rapper, in fact, let himself go to some statements that did not please the audience at all public who inundated him with criticism.

Tony Effe, the statements

The rapper said his dad handed him one pocket money weekly of 150 euros which wasn’t enough for him: «What was I doing with that money? I had already started smoking, I had a scooter, I was poor in the centre.” Words that have given rise to numerous criticisms from those who, instead, have to live on that money.

Gianluca Gazzoli, the host of the podcast, replied: «The revenge you were looking for, therefore, was not economic as happens in the case of rappers who start from the bottom, from public housing», but Tony Effe “displaces” him: «It was economic », continuing to define himself as a poor man from the center because unlike his friends who had houses in Capalbio with swimming pools, he lived in a 90 square meter house. This last exchange could be the reason behind Fedez’s latest dig.

Fedez’s dig

In fact, Fedez shared a photo portraying him in 2011, while singing “The Yard” together with Emis Killa in the social centre. The two artists are always very proud of the goals they have achieved and are not ashamed to talk about their past and the beginning of their careers which started from the bottom, as Fedez himself says, «Started from the bottom (for real)». However, that “for real” in brackets has raised some suspicions about a dig at Tony Effeafter his words on Gianluca Gazzoli’s podcast.

The friendship between Fedez and Tony Effe

The two rappers had started sharing numerous stories on Instagram in which they trained together in the gym and a beautiful friendship seemed to have been born between the two. However, this bond seems to have quickly dissolved due to an ugly argument: there are those who say that Fedez has made numerous compliments to Taylor Mega, Tony Effe’s historic ex-girlfriend, and those who instead think that Tony Effe is to blame for some comments to Chiara Ferragni.

The digital entrepreneur began following the former Dark Polo Gang and sharing videos and photos wearing clothes from Miu Miu (title of one of Tony’s most famous singles), while Fedez stopped following him, creating even more sensation. But it didn’t end here. Tony Effe then gave an interview on the radio, in which he promoted his summer single “Sesso e Samba” with Gaia, in which he revealed that Fedez would have looked for a featuring with him, but he would have denied it. We will wait for the next episode.
