A song produced by Merk & Kremont and which inaugurates a new phase: “we felt the desire to tell other people’s stories too”

One year after their last release, Coma Cose are back with Malavita, a new single which you can listen to below.

The song was produced by Merk & Kremont and presents a rather new sound for the band between mandolins, flamenco and urban. «The protagonist of the song is a woman with a stormy past who decides to change her life by leaving an oppressive context that holds her prisoner», we read in the press release accompanying the song.

The two commented on their return like this: «It was a beautiful winter, we took our time to fix up the house, which is always a metaphor for something else, we made a lot of music but the words never flew, we simply understood that we didn’t have anything new “of ours” that we hadn’t already said. You need to live to describe it in music… and then an epiphany, a bit like certain distant singer-songwriters did, we felt the desire to also tell the stories of others… which are always a means to talk a little about ourselves. You know us and you know how boring we are to repeat ourselves, so a new journey begins which we hope will bring us together with you this summer to sing at the top of our lungs: Malavita, Malavita, Malavitaaaaa…”.
