Genoa. There are at least a dozen suspects, in addition to the 25 indicated in the order, in the investigation that led to the arrest of the president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti.
Between these Paolo Piacenza, from 8 September 2023 extraordinary commissioner of the Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea. The agency reports it Handle. Piacenza is under investigation for abuse of office. The offices and residence in Piacenza were searched by the financial police.
Paolo Piacenza joined the authority in 2018. Since May 2021 he has been general secretary of the port system authority. Then in September 2023 he was appointed commissioner of the institution following the departure of Paolo Emilio Signoriniappointed CEO of Iren at the end of August.
The matter for which Piacenza is being investigated concerns the tariff increase granted by the then president of the AdSP, Paolo Signorini, to Mauro Vianello’s company, owner of 54.19% of the shares of the company Santa Barbara Srl, active in the transport and communications business sector and specialized in Fire Prevention, Surveillance and First Response services in the port of Genoa. According to the investigators, following a provision that ordered the increase in the hourly rate for the provision of the supplementary service of the Santa Barbara Srl Company, Signorini received expensive money and gifts from Vianello.
Own tomorrow at 11 in Marassi prison the interrogation of Signorini will be held in prison, arrested because according to the investigators (and according to the investigating judge) he was bribed by Aldo Spinelli with money, luxury trips and other benefits.
