Luckily this time there was only a big scare and no dramatic consequences, but yesterday afternoon’s accident in La Loggia along provincial road 20 has reopened the debate on the safety of that stretch of road. A straight road that connects the town to Carignano, where in the past there have been serious accidents in which there have also been victims. The municipal administration of Mayor Domenico Romano has repeatedly asked the Metropolitan City, over the years, for a commitment and a project to try to find a solution to limit the risks and speed at that point. To avoid further trouble, the entrance between the main road in front of the factories and the provincial road itself had also been closed. Yesterday’s head-on collision, however, has once again put the need to find some solution to lower the risk rate on a road that is still too dangerous.
