After the success of “Never Dawn” which has exceeded 2 million streams, the iconic Italian metal band LACUNA COIL returns with the new single “In The Mean Time”, which sees the participation of Ash Costello of the NEW YEARS DAY. The song premiered yesterday on Sirius XM during the program Liquid Metal.
The title of the song is a play on words on the English “meantime”, as well as a clear reference to the difficult times we are living in and the transition phase that the band is going through…
“’In The Mean Time‘ is a reflection on current society, on the fact that it has ‘lost its compass’. We live in very difficult times where people are often overwhelmed by a sense of dissatisfaction, loneliness, anxiety, depression and destruction. The pressure that comes from outside prevents us from analyzing everything with the right clarity. This song is intended to be a sort of group therapy, not a lament, but rather an invitation to accept this condition: when you fall, it is difficult to get up and put the pieces back together. We must leave behind the toxicity of today’s society and remember that there is much more to this life… and be aware that, in the meantime, not everything can go as we hope. We asked Ash Costello to take part in the song and we are happy that she joined us adding exactly what ‘In The Mean Time‘ he needed, thanks to his warm voice and his charisma”says the band.
