11.56pm – What a tennis match in Madrid! It felt like a final, the quality was high throughout and Aryna Sabalenka (25) made a stunning comeback against Elena Rybakina (24) to book her place in the final.
Sabalenka was on the verge of exiting the scene after losing the first set and a break deficit in the second, but she raised her level during the second set, recovered the break and then broke it again to win the set.
The last set was very close, including a tie-break that Sabalenka won thanks to her great serve. Sabalenka won 1-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).
