The first usage rights assigned in Italy to DAB+ local network operators

Assigned in Italy the first rights of use to DAB+ local network operators.

By act of 12 us, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT) has assigned to the Digital Radio Group Scarl Consortiumthe first ever case in Italy for local networks, the rights of use for planned networks to network operators DAB+ pursuant to AGCOM resolution 286/22/CONS for Local catchment area n. 20 for the Sardinia regionattributing the right to use the Local Network n. 1 on the DAB block 10B in all the provinces of the catchment area, according to the criteria referred to in article 12, paragraphs 3 and 4, of the Regulation attached to AGCOM Resolution no. 664/09CONS and subsequent amendments and according to the criteria referred to in AGCOM Resolution 286/22/CONS.

This is an important step forward for local broadcasting considering that with this first assignment, a prelude to the assignment of the remaining basins, the gap that currently exists between national and local operators would be filled.

Furthermore, the same channel would have been assigned in the following hours 10B also ad Adria Dab Marche.
