Immediately Sold-Out for Claudio Baglioni in Palmi – doremifasol.org

It’s sold out to attend Claudio Baglioni’s conference in Palmi

A great success which is already announced by the number of reservations to attend Claudio Baglioni’s speech at the National Festival of Law and Literature in the city of Palmi.

«It was not difficult to imagine that those who have habitually filled stadiums and arenas for decades would have taken little time to exhaust the available seats at the Manfroce Theater in Palmi…

Yet we must admit that the sight of so many emails in such a short time left us amazed. We can therefore announce an incredible sold out!»

This is what the official Facebook page reports of the festival which will host the great Roman singer-songwriter on April 18th at the Manfroce theater in Palmi.

The special guest, Claudio Baglioniwill be together with the poet and writer Michele Caccamo who is also a great friend of the musician.

Together they will talk about songs related to law and literature.

Just a day ago, the organization gave the email address to which reservations could be sent to gain access to the theatre. It was natural that within a few minutes the event was sold-out, given the large number of admirers that Claudio Baglioni has all over the world. Calabria responded to the invitation warmly, waiting to be able to see the artist up close and listen to the conference. Unfortunately, many people were disappointed for not having had time to book via email.

Numbered seats will be assigned according to the order in which the emails arrive, until the theater’s capacity is exhausted. The event will be communicated via a specific post before April 18th.

But what music is law?

The title of the conference anticipates what it will cover. “Lost men, scattered notes on fragility and social justice in the songs of Claudio Baglioni“.

Who knows well Claudio Baglioni he knows how much the topic of social justice has been discussed in his 60-year career. Perhaps the songs are less known than many others with the exception perhaps of “Uomini persi” which is often performed during live shows.

For many, he is certainly a new face to discover, but it would be enough to mention O’ Scià and “Al di trova dal ponte” or songs that are more than 50 years old such as “Cincinnato”, “In viaggio” or “Vecchio Samuel” to make people understand how the social emergency has always been a topic dear to Baglioni.

Baglioni’s discography is dotted with songs that deal with work, injustice, adrift humanity, fragile women and men. Law is represented in poetry and prose. It’s difficult to summarize without mentioning numerous songs mostly unknown to the general public.

The song from “Lost Men” (1985) is not mentioned casually since it deals with people who life has led to be violent, murderers, drug dealers, forgetting when they were naive children. The song was born after a news episode that occurred in Rome, near the singer-songwriter’s home. At the time, a man took a group of children hostage in a school to claim his rights or out of simple madness. Fortunately, the wicked act did not lead to tragedy, but in his sensitivity Baglioni picked up the signal and the urgency, re-proposing a thought of Cesare Pavese who said “even the worst criminals were children”.

The conference will be moderated by the RAI Calabria journalist Riccardo Giacoia and by the magistrate Antonio Salvati.

The National Festival of Law and Literature is a scientific-cultural event promoted by the “Friends of the Festival of Law and Literature” Association.
