The rain did not stop the musical flash mob dedicated to Lucio Battisti and organized last March 5th in the Rimini roundabout dedicated to him. A significant date, because one of the most beloved singer-songwriters ever in Italy was born on March 5, 1943. The initiative was promoted by the Roman Alfredo Masiadministrator of the Facebook group “Lucio Battisti_flashmob fan Lucio” which has over 9500 members from all over Italy.

FLASH MOB – Timeless Lucio, “Grab the guitar and join us”

Masi himself, who came from Rome with other fans of the singer-songwriter from Poggio Bustone, arrived in Rimini and at 5pm was ready to sing Battisti’s timeless hits. “Despite the rain it was great – explains Masi – people stayed until 6.30pm with their umbrellas open. As a guess, around fifty of Lucio’s fans participated, we also sang songs from the last period, the ones with Pasquale Panella, and this is something rather new.”

Battisti, in fact, over the course of his career, has experienced various musical “phases”. The general public knows him above all for the songs created with the collaboration of the lyricist Mogol. But not only Rimini people were present to sing the songs of the singer-songwriter from Poggio Bustone. “In fact – confirms Masi -, apart from our group, you come from Rome, they came from Pesaro, Riccione, San Marino and other nearby places”.
