In the quiet serenity of the British countryside, a dark mystery has cast an eerie shadow over the peaceful community of Taverley. The film The Lord of Disorderdirected by director William Brent Bell and brought to the screen with gripping tension, prepares to reveal its secrets this evening 26 June for the first time on Rai 4 at 9.20pm.
The plot of The Lord of Disorder
During the traditional Harvest Festival in the picturesque village of Taverley, nestled among the green hills of the British countryside, a tragic event has shaken the idyllic community. Gracethe daughter of the new minister of worship Rebecca, is mysteriously disappearancethrowing the entire city into panic and grief.
His disappearance brought a wave of anguish among the inhabitants, who responded with an unprecedented mobilization to find it. In addition to the local police, everyone, from the oldest to the youngest, is united desperately searching for girl hoping to bring her home safely.
But the time passes and hopes quickly crumble. The searches seem to bear no fruit until one testimony shakes up the community. Someone claims to have seen Grace in the company of one mysterious figure and disturbing, described as a creature that evokes tales of Old English folklore, a being that does not belong to the world of men. As the investigation intensifies, they emerge secrets buried and latent tensions in the community come to light, fueling suspicions and fears.

The director William Brent Bell, known for his works in the horror and psychological thriller genres, brings his experience in telling stories shrouded in mystery and the supernatural, aided by the screenplay written by Tom de VilleThe cast is led by Ralph Ineson, who we have seen in action in films such as The Witch and The Omen, and who will next play the villain Galactus in the reboot of the Fantastic Four.
Between protagonists of Lord of Misrule, this is the original title of the film Tuppence Middleton as Minister Rebecca Holland. Little Grace is played by Evie Templeton. Alongside them are Matt Stokoe (Henry Holland) and David Langham who plays Detective Inspector Hythe.
