Gary Johnson is New Orleans’ most wanted professional killer. Whoever hires him to kill his wife or a cumbersome partner, however, would do better to watch his back. Johnson, in fact, behind the many disguises he wears, is a university professor and a police collaborator. Gifted with a natural talent for dramatic interpretation, he frames his unfortunate clients one after another and brings them to justice. Things get complicated, however, when he meets and falls in love with the beautiful Madison, who is willing to do anything to get rid of a violent husband.
Co-written by Linklater and Glen Powell, also co-producers here, the film is inspired by the incredible true story of Gary Johnson played by Powell himself.
Hit Man – Accidental Killer – which we see the first minutes exclusively on MYmovies – was enthusiastically welcomed at the Venice Film Festival, where it was presented Out of Competition. The work is directed by Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning cult director Richard Linklater and stars Glen Powell and Adria Arjona.
Distributed by Bim Distribuzione, Hit Man – Accidental Killer will come out at the cinema from Thursday 27 June.
