It turned out that the meme originates from a photo taken in a hobby shop of Oshkosh, in the state of Wisconsin in the United States. The mysterious photo that launched the phenomenon depicts the interior of a HobbyTown merchandise franchise store in 2003. The image that has become fashionable in digital culture is a simple series of rooms, with yellow carpeting, off-white wallpaper and yellow fluorescent lighting, which was right at the back of the store. They were found by a group of users Discord who had been on the trail of the photo that introduced the horror meme for some time. By tracing the name of the original file posted on 4chan, the investigators were able to trace the initial camera and then the location.
