We meet Riley as she is about to change schools. Right in the middle of an ice hockey game. With the two inseparable friends they form a perfect trio, so much so that they are noticed by the high school coach who invites them to a summer camp. Performance anxiety, the desire to enter new social environments overwhelms an almost unrecognizable Riley: already because in the meantime Embarrassment, Ennui, Envy, and above all Ansia have arrived at the console, ready to take control of everything to build a new Riley and protect it.
All the Pixar stars and the emotions of “Inside Out”
The actors tell us what a thrill this was Inside out 2. Pilar Fogliati: “I think this film is incredible, especially because in the past there was only the idea of the little angel of the devil, so there was only the concept ‘you did well’. And this is a bad thing, very limiting, a closed concept. Instead, hurray that now children in the future, but also me, the new generations will have this wonderful film and all these other emotions that they will learn to know, to understand, to accept, to love. So what personally struck me the most, of film, is the sense of acceptance of emotions that perhaps we think are wrong, even if they don’t exist in reality.”
Daughter of Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel, Deva Cassel it’s Ennui: “Being bored is important, you have to understand that it’s positive. When I was young I didn’t understand how essential it is to stop and clear your mind. I grew up in a family with many expectations of me – continues Deva -, but both parents gave me taught that the important thing is to remain true to yourself (even if I wanted to go grazing), something that fortunately I have always applied without any problem”.
The young one Sara Ciocca it’s Riley: “Adolescence is terrible, it makes you experience a period of restlessness, continuous and sudden mood changes that throw you into an almost uncontrollable merry-go-round. Often you remain silent because you don’t know what to say.” Marta Filippi gives voice to Envy: “I didn’t find him to be a bad character. He is full of admiration, he looks up to everyone. He feels inferior and for this reason he seeks a model to inspire him.”
Federico Cesari instead he gives voice to Embarrassment: “The film was able to create an emotional language and a visual language at the same time. Giving images to emotions and allowing us to understand something that was truly unrepresentable for me before, such as the unconscious, the flow of consciousness by creating a collective language in which we can all identify: for example, the visual representation of a panic attack without the need to give it a name was something revolutionary for me.”
