Pixar, over the years, has stood out for its uncommon ability to make its viewers cry: the films of the beloved animation studio have given us unforgettable emotional blows more than once, and while waiting for the release in Italy Of Inside Out 2 it seemed right to us to try to indicate the best ones.

Trying to go in chronological order, we cannot help but start from Finding Nemowhose initial sequence, with the protagonist’s mother and potential future little brothers and sisters devoured by a barracuda a few moments into the film, inevitably traumatized many young (and non-) spectators.

So let’s move on to one of the highlights of this list: we always talk about introductory sequences, but this time the film is Up. The story of Carl and Ellie still represents a rock on which, with each new viewing, all our intentions to maintain dignity and hold back the inevitable tears are shattered.

2010 was instead the year of Toy Story 3which gave its viewers a deadly double: the furnace scene, with the toys holding hands convinced they are going to die (ask Leonard from The Big Bang Theory for information) and obviously the ending, with Andy giving in his lifelong adventure companions to little Bonnie before leaving for college.

Here we are then Inside Out: in the days in which Inside Out 2 causes havoc at the box-office it is impossible not to remember one of the most devastating scenes of recent animated cinema, namely the disappearance of Bing Bong, who after having hoped for years to be able to come back to life his adventures with Riley sacrifices himself to allow Joy to find her way back to the control room.

In closing we cannot fail to mention Coco: the film based on the Mexican Dia de los Muertos reserves us more than one touching scene, but most of all we must obviously remember the moment in which Mamà Coco manages to remember her father and, consequently, the one in which we learn of the death of Beloved grandmother of Miguel. The list, however, could continue for quite a few more positions… And we are sure that Pixar will not miss an opportunity to force us to update it!

On Breakfast at Tiffany’s It is one of today’s best sellers.
