“I have no money, but I have to pay millions in legal fees”

The Oscar-winning star reveals the financial problems linked to the judicial disputes of recent years.

Kevin Spacey was interviewed by Piers Morgan and did not hold back tears during his account of the difficulties he is encountering in this period due to legal fees that he has to bear arising from the trials in which he is accused of sexual harassment.

The Oscar winner said that his house was foreclosed due to debts and currently has no permanent accommodation and money is in short supply. The interview caused quite a stir not only due to Spacey’s notoriety but also because Piers Morgan is one of the most important American journalists, and recently interviewed Fiona Harvey, the one who professes to be the ‘real Martha’ of Baby Reindeer.

Spacey’s problems

“It’s funny that you ask that question.” Spacey replied, when Morgan asked him what his is current home “because this week the house I lived in in Baltimore went into foreclosure. My house is being sold at auction, so I have to move back to Baltimore and put my things in storage. The answer to the question is, I’m not sure where I’m going to live Now. But I’ve been in Baltimore since we started filming House of Cards right there. I moved there in 2012. This has been my home since 2016. I can’t pay the bills I have to pay.”.

The interview reached even more dramatic heights when Kevin Spacey, almost in tears, answered the question aboutpossibility of bankruptcy:“There were a couple of times when I thought I was going to have to file for bankruptcy but we managed to avoid that, at least until today. I still have a lot of debt, many millions. The house itself is worth many millions”.

Kevin Spacey also criticized the Netflix’s choice to fire him from House of Cards after the accusations, recalling the different treatment he received from Dave Chappelle and revealing that he hadn’t heard from Robin Wright, who became the protagonist of the series, for several years: “I haven’t heard from Robin since September/October 2017. I understand her, I really do. I think distancing herself from me allowed her to not have to answer as many questions.” Recently, Spacey has received public recognition from peers such as Sharon Stone and Liam Neeson.
