The first official trailer has finally arrived Venom: The Last Dancethe third and final chapter of the Marvel-Sony film saga that sees Tom Hardy as the most violent and foul-mouthed alien symbiote in comic book history. It all started in the first film of 2018, followed by Carnage’s Fury in 2021. We had seen the same character in short films too appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: at the end of Carnage, in fact, Eddie Brock and his symbiote had been transported to the alternate dimension where the MCU is set and where they discovered the existence of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man; in the post-credits of Spider-Man: No Way Homehowever, had been reported to their reality from Doctor Strange, but not before having left a piece of alien organism in that dimension too.

As seen in this trailer, Eddie and Venom they have not yet found peace, seen hunting them is the whole US Army who want to find a way to neutralize the threat they believe they represent. But in an even more serious way the species comes from space to which Venom himself belongs, with intentions yet to be clarified. We certainly witness a clash between our protagonists and an enormous monster with multiple jaws, all on board a plane, or rather on top of the plane itself.

Venom: The Last Dance is written and directed by Kelly Marcel (Saving Mr. Banks, Fifty Shades of Grey) and sees the return of iconic characters such as Peggy Lu as Mrs. Chen, owner of Venom’s local diner. But there are also numerous new entries, such as Juno Temple which comes directly from Fargo And Ted Lasso to play a government researcher and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who will be the general who hunts Eddie down. For Ejiofor, the choice to participate in this film is peculiar, given that he played the fallen sorcerer Karl Mondo in two films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Strange and its sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The last adventure of the symbiote, in any case, will arrive at the cinema from next October 24th.
