It’s an outspoken Chris Hemsworth who presented himself in the latest interview granted to Vanity Fair: the actor spoke freely about every aspect of his life and career, also revealing a bit of dissatisfaction with regarding his Thor and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After having literally denied Thor: Love and Thunder, in fact, Hemsworth spoke in a more general way about his character’s role in the franchise, downplaying its importance: “Sometimes I felt like their bodyguard. I read other people’s quotes and thought, ‘Oh, they have the coolest stuff, they have more fun. What does my character do?’. […] Yes, I’m part of something big, but I’m replaceable“were his words.

Robert Downey Jr., however, did not agree with his colleague: “First of all, Thor is a very difficult character to adapt, but he and Kenneth Branagh managed to transcend this aspect, making him a character with a divine appearance but with whom one can empathize. Hemsworth has, in my opinion, the more complex psychology of all the Avengers“. Who will have understood the character better between Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr?
