The new chapter of the saga of The House is official, it will be produced again by the creator of the franchise Sam Raimi and directed by director Sébastien Vaniček, who returned to talk about the project during a promotional interview with ComicBook.

Vaniček, who some time ago promised that The House 5 will be a film that will hurt, confirming his desire to start again from the sadistically gore and ultra-violent approach of The House 2013 by Fede Alvarez and the more recent The House: The Awakening of evil by Lee Cronin, has anticipated that his new chapter will be a crazy movie and one that will have a big ‘statement’ to makeon the horror genre and today’s society:

I need strong characters. I need a big statement to make. I need an intelligent film that says something, which has a profound meaning. And then, as soon as I have this, I’ll be able to do something crazy and with a lot of death and blood: these elements, all together, will create a very strong film. When you create a film you always need a solid foundation, but in this case that solid foundation is represented by the work of Sam Raimi: My goal is to take the best from everything that came before me.”

In this regard, Vaniček stated: “I love what Sam Raimi did…He did a lot of crazy shots and wanted to shock the audience, and that’s something I identify with. I really like also the vision of Fede Alvarez, the movie in 2013, when they said, ‘Okay, let’s make an Evil Dead movie but let’s do it in a more realistic way.’ I, personally, am thinking of doing something that makes money justice to both of these visions.‘”

So far the The House franchise, which began in 1981, has developed into five films and a TV series: what is Sébastien Vaniček preparing? To find out, stay tuned to Everyeye channels.
