Difficult day yesterday at the box office between bad weather and a double football match between Roma and Bologna and, above all, Milan and Inter which certainly took spectators away from the theatres. The total takings were 455,210 euros (67,692 spectators) on 2,349 screens, -76% compared to the pre-holiday 24 April 2023, but still +17% compared to a week ago.

Just one film goes over 10 thousand euros. It’s about the anime Perfect Blue which debuts as an event with 107,365 euros and an average of 580 euros per cinema (185).

The biopic climbs to second position Back to Black with 73,266 euros and a total of 866,601 euros with an average of 217 euros per cinema (338). For Amy Winhouse’s film the million mark is approaching.

Third step of the podium for the dystopian Civil War with 51,873 euros and a total of 700,540 euros with an average of 168 euros per cinema (309).

Fourth place for Ghostbusters – Glacial Menace with 29,052 euros (-46%) and a total of 1,729,888 euros; it seems difficult for the film to achieve Ghostbusters And Ghostbusters: Legacy at 2.3 and 2.4 million euros but Menace glaciale is still doing its part at the box office.

In fifth position we find A world apart. Riccardo Milani’s film is characterized by a long stay in the top 10. Yesterday the takings were 23,312 euros (-42%) for a total of 6,091,427 euros which consolidates its leading position in 2024 for Italian films.

Sixth position for the British style dramedy Mischief at home with 20,758 euros and an interesting total of 359,510 euros. We will see how the film performs in its second weekend.

Behind him we find the leader of the annual ranking Kung Fu Panda 4 with 17,585 euros (-31%) and a total of 10,720,294 euros. Eighth position for Godzilla and Kong – The New Empire with 9,763 euros (-50%) for a total of 3,887,062 euros.

Two well-performing films complete the top 10. It’s about Glory! with 9,446 euros (-45%) for a total of 351,348 euros and horror Omen – The origin of the omen with 9,085 euros (-51%) for a total of 903,072 euros. Worth mentioning in eleventh position Zamora with 8,719 euros (only -2%) and a total of 564,045 which confirm it as a nice surprise at the Italian box office, with a result beyond expectations.
