In view of the passage of the Giro d’Italia in the city on May 14th, which will involve the total closure of roads in a time slot ranging from 11.30am to 5pm.
Taking into account the provisions with which the traffic regime is regulated according to the running of the race which provides for the total ban on traffic on the route concerned, during the passage of the runners, in particular on the Appia state road 7, as well as, within of the inhabited center of the municipality of Montesarchio, of Piazza Carlo Poerio, Via San Rocco towards Via Varoni up to the hamlet of Cirignano, including Via G. Matteotti; considering that the aforementioned provisions will have a strong impact on road traffic, internal and external roads and public and private road transport, the mayor of Montesarchio Carmelo Sandomenico has ordered the closure of all public schools, of every order and level , private and equal, of the municipal territory for the entire day of Tuesday 14 May 2024.
