Among the many action scenes of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga there’s one for which the production spent a lot of sweat.

As producer Doug Mitchell told GamesRadar, the film has “a 15-minute sequence that took 78 days of filming“, with almost 200 stuntmen employed daily.

The scene was known to the production as Stairway to Nowherethe staircase into nowhere.

George and I talked a lot about why this particular action scene was very long” commented Anya Taylor-Joy, who explained that he did not have a driving license. “It serves to showcase all of Furiosa’s abilities during a battle, and is very important to understand how resourceful she is. It is the longest sequence ever filmed. The day we finished, we drank wine toasting at the staircase into nowhere!“.

The film, with Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne and Tom Burke, will be in cinemas on May 24 in the United States, while in Italy it will arrive on May 23. Find all the information on Furiosa: A Mad Max Sagto in our profile!
