Tron: Ares, The Mandalorian & Grogu and Toy Story 5 have a release date, Moana live action postponed | Cinema

Disney has announced the schedule for its blockbusters in 2025 and 2026, finally giving a date to The Mandalorian & Grogu and postponing the live action Moana film by a year (as was expected to happen, after the animated sequel was “promoted” to cinemas in November 2024).

Let’s go in order. First of all The Amateura spy thriller starring Rami Malek and Rachel Brosnahan that was supposed to be released on November 8 this year, has been postponed to April 11, 2025. On the other hand, Nightbitcha horror comedy starring Amy Adams, will be released in a limited number of theaters on December 6th thanks to Searchlight Pictures.

After that, the dates of four blockbusters are set starting from Tron: Aresthe third film in the saga whose filming is underway and which will be released in cinemas on 10 October 2025.

The Mandalorian & Grogu will be released in cinemas on May 22, 2026, a date previously assigned to the Star Wars film which was to be directed by Taika Waititi and about which nothing more is known at the moment.

Toy Story 5 it will instead be released on June 19, 2026, while the live action Moana will arrive on July 10, 2026, a date previously “booked” by Disney for a blockbuster that now apparently no longer exists.

  • The Amateur: April 11, 2025
  • Tron: Ares: October 10, 2025
  • The Mandalorian & Grogu: May 22, 2026
  • Toy Story 5: June 19, 2026
  • Oceania: 10 July 2026
